When in Bali, Balibooty stays in this incredibly private, peaceful place.

It is centrally located outside the village of Batuan, famous for it's traditional art, and is only 15 minutes from Ubud, one of the best known centers of shopping and artistic endeavors, in all of South East Asia.

Should we need more excitement after resting here, the nightlife and tourist attractions of the beachfront tourist mecca, Sanur, is only 25 minutes away. Or if we prefer to wander off into trekking and Volcanoes, those are only an hour or 2 away, with the help of Wayan, and his air conditioned Toyota Kijang which comfortably holds 5 people and lots of Bali Booty.

The office itself is magnificent, blending traditional materials and architecture, with modern wiring, a/c and bath facilities. It is surrounded by rice fields and the outskirts of the village of Batuan. Sometimes at night you can hear the Gamalan musicians from the local Banjar (family association) practicing for the next ceremony. The grounds include the gardens and koi pond below which are in turn surrounded by a 3 meter wall which affords privacy and security.

We are very lucky to work with Wayan and Nyoman, his wonderful wife, who makes the best breakfast this side of heaven.
